Star rating, 1-5 stars
Our rating system is based on the standard of the villa or apartment. Lanta Hideaways strive to describe the unit in text and pictures as it is in reality based on the individual plan and layout of the accommodation. However, the standard of what you experience can also be indicated with stars to somehow meet your expectations. Local Thai units can be very simple so therefore one and two stars would not exist in what we offer for rental which is aiming more towards a western style and standard. We start from three stars.
*** Three stars indicate that the function is there as described like number of beds, air conditioning and that stove, fridge and equipment is working properly but can still be old and need to be replaced soon for the esthetic feel. Air conditioning is installed in the bedrooms but TV is not necessarily part of the equipment list. There are kitchen households and cutlery corresponding to number of beds specified, not necessarily in a unison color. The accommodation has passed quality check for renting out and the basic equipment is checked and follow our minimum requirement. These units may be comparable in function with the unit next door but is usually priced lower.
**** Four stars indicate that the unit is well maintained and majority of the surfaces are painted within the last three years. Fabrics are well maintained and feels up to date. Majority of furniture are practical and of good standard. All the basic equipment is checked and follow our minimum requirements. A flat TV belongs here with HDMI. Usually air conditioning is mounted in more rooms than only the bed rooms.
***** Five stars indicate that the unit is well maintained and majority of the surfaces are painted within the last year. Fabrics are well maintained and feels up to date. Stock of linen are replaced on a regular basis. Majority of furniture are practical and of high standard. Except for the basic equipment required, the unit offers multiple add-ons to make a comfortable stay like washing machine, dish washer, Jacuzzi, at least one Smart TV, several in- and outdoor chill areas, extra baby protections, safety amenities etc.
