BOOKING CONDITIONS – TRANSFER updated May 2017

1. General
Lanta Hideaways arranges transportation services (transfer) for passengers; hereafter called the “customer”, on behalf of the shuttle company used. The following terms and conditions apply when booking transfers.

2. Valid agreement
When the payment has been made for a transfer reservation, the conditions are valid and applied to both parties. The customer is responsible to control that all details in the booking confirmation are correct. If payment is not done in time, the booking will be considered as canceled by the customer.

3. Information about the vehicle
The vehicle is an air-conditioned minibus with private driver and available for the number of persons confirmed. The mini vans are normally equipped with seat belts and have plenty of room for luggage and baby carriage. Child seats up to 3 years can be requested and are subject to availability. Due to high demand during certain periods the transfer company will add vehicles from equivalent suppliers to carry out the service.

4. Prices and payment
For price indication, please see www.lantahideaways.com. The price is valid for the transportation for a specified number of people between pick-up and drop-off locations as per details in the booking confirmation. Full payment is to be paid within 3 days from booking according to the instructions in the booking confirmation.

5. Alterations and Cancelation policy
The customer has the right to alter time, date or cancel a confirmed booking free of charge, if information is sent earlier than 48 hours before the time of transfer. Lanta Hideaways cannot guarantee re-confirmation of amendments nor cancelation made less than 48 hours and therefore not able to make any refunds. If the Foreign Ministry, or equivalent authority, recommends not traveling to Thailand, full refund will be made.

6. Cancelation insurance
Lanta Hideaways is not able to offer cancelation insurance and recommends the customers to establish insurance cover on their own. However, there are several insurance companies who offer cancelation insurance like Gouda, World Nomads etc.

7. The customer’s commitments
At the time of booking, the customer shall specify the date, time and place of pickup and destination as well as number of persons. For airport transfers, the customer shall provide name of airport, flight number, date and time of arrival or departure and number of persons. The customer must inform any delays or changes in the travel itinerary immediately to Lanta Hideaways.

8. Lanta Hideaways commitments
Lanta Hideaways liability is limited to the value of the booked and confirmed transfer.

9. Changes of agreement
Lanta Hideaways has the right to change prices on short notice if taxes, fees, oil prices or exchange rates significantly increase the cost for the transfer. If a confirmed price is increased over 10% or more the customer is entitled to, within 5 days after receiving the information, cancel and get full refund. If unforeseen circumstances prevent the transfer, Lanta Hideaways has the right to alter the reservation and offer a replacement service for the customer. If this is not possible, or the customer declines this offer, the payment will be refunded.

10. Force majeure
Force majeure is explained as “an unforeseen event of extraordinary nature that precludes the possibility of fulfillment of a contractual consideration”. These events are counted; war, riot, strike, natural calamity, fire, international or national laws etc. that restrict or hinder a party to fulfill its obligations. Lanta Hideaways is not responsible for damage or loss incurred because of an insurmountable obstacle or other unforeseen events, such as described.

11. Legislation
The law of the Kingdom of Thailand applies for the transfer service.
